We are incredibly excited to have Toronto based photographer inkedKenny taking photos at our IML booth on Saturday and Sunday. Check out some of his smoking hot work for yourself (http://www.inkedkenny.com/) and be sure to swing by our booth on Saturday from 1 to 6 and Sunday 12 to 5 for a free, professional profile shot by one of the fetish scene's top photographers.

We Asked Kenny a few questions to get a deeper feel for what got him into fetish photography AND how to get a better profile photo…

What was the first thing you photographed?

My first real shoot actually landed in the pages of Instigator Magazine.... Thorn (the editor of Instigator) saw them floating about online and contacted me and wanted to publish the story.... an underground fight club scene with blood, bruises, and hot guys boxing in their jockstraps. Prior to that, I was shooting a lot of my friends within the fetish community here in Toronto... quickly had my images used for events and such... so everything kind of switched over for me quick in that sense of changing careers...

What draws you to shooting guys into fetish and gear?

Time and place really... most of my friends are into fetish and gear as am I... so, I would test my skills on all of them and started to create my 'look' in my photos with that... for my own creatives for my portfolio, I shoot what turns me on mentally and physically... only makes sense right?

What is your advice to Recon members on how to get a great profile photo?

Take the role of the exhibitionist and put in your head the photographer is the voyeur. Stand there minding your own business... then a quick glance up and you saw the lens on you... react in either a FUCK OFF attitude, or yeah, check it out, you want some of this... or pretend you didn't even notice and keep doing what you were doing. It’s about capturing a moment of yourself doing whatever it is you were doing... as soon as guys start posing, my camera goes down like a limp dick. Keep it real, and bring your confidence... the rest will happen.

Tell us about xfoto. Is this a new venture?

This is a new venture.... my Producer/Agent Eric Desbiens saw the potential in my library of images that was just sitting around. I would get emails enquiring about purchasing prints etc. and I did the long way emails back and forth. With the new site, it’s a self-serve e cart where people can pick an image, the size and have it delivered to their door within a weeks’ time wherever they are in the world.

Have you been to an IML before and if so what is the most interesting thing you’ve seen?

I have been to IML a few times... it’s always a new adventure every year... and it’s great to see the guys you run into usually on these kind of circuits... like a reunion of sorts. As for the most interesting thing....that’s a tough one... it’s a crazy weekend... there’s always something interesting to see... :-)

What was your first reaction when Recon approached you to shoot at their booth at IML?

My first reaction was great, I wanted to start an association with Recon, and what better place but IML... and to also give a personal touch to its members by offering the chance to shoot a new profile pic.

Are there any other photographers out there whose work you admire?

Working alongside photographers in my previous career, I’ve had numerous photographers inspire me... Richard Avedon, Bruce Weber, Stephen Klein, Greg Gorman, Annie Leibovitz... this list is endless really...

Who would be at the top of your dream list of people you’d like to photograph?

Colin Farrell is always the first name to pop into my head for some reason... I’ve been asked this question numerous times and it’s always him... he's one sexy mother fucker. He’s confident and exudes sex... enough said!
